Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-10

Rilo is a fasting tracker designed to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what Rilo stores, which third-party services process information when you use the app, and the choices you have. Rilo is published by Soewidiputra ("we", "us").

The short version

  • Rilo has no accounts. You do not sign up or log in.
  • Your fasting log, targets and preferences stay on your phone. We do not receive or sync them.
  • Purchases, ads and optional crash reports are handled by third-party services described below.
  • You can export or reset your data at any time from Settings.

Data stored on your device

Rilo stores the following on your device only:

  • Your fasting entries (the times you record eating and fasting) and your fasting targets.
  • Your preferences, such as theme, language, home layout, reminder settings and the Share Usage Data choice.
  • The local schedule of reminders and the answers you give from notifications.
  • Data that powers your home screen widgets, shared with the widget on your device.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or health records, and Rilo does not read data from Apple Health or Google Health Connect. We do not run a server that stores your fasting log.

Third-party services

Some features rely on services that process limited information under their own privacy policies:

  • App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat: process purchases and Rilo Pro entitlement. RevenueCat uses an anonymous customer identifier, not a Rilo account. Purchase records are managed by the store.
  • Google AdMob: shows ads in the free version and processes advertising identifiers and consent information. Where required, a consent message lets you choose how ads are personalized, and you can revisit it from Settings (Ad privacy choices). Rilo Pro removes ads.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: collects crash reports and diagnostics, such as device model, operating system version and app state at the time of a crash, to help us fix bugs. This follows the Share Usage Data setting in the app.

Device permissions

Rilo asks only for permissions that support reminders, and each one is optional:

  • Notifications: to show target-reached and forgotten-meal reminders.
  • Exact alarms (Android): so reminders arrive on time. Without it, the system decides when they appear.
  • Run at startup (Android): so scheduled reminders are restored after your phone restarts.
  • Battery optimization exemption (Android): you may be asked to allow it, because some phones delay reminders to save battery.
  • Network access: for purchases, ads and crash reports. Your fasting log itself needs no internet connection.

Backups and exports

Data & Storage lets you save your log and settings to a file and restore them later. That file contains your fasting log and settings, and anyone with access to it can read it, so keep it private. Your phone's own device backup may also contain a copy of the app's data.

How information is used

  • To run the timer, History, Your rhythm, reminders and widgets on your device.
  • To process purchases and unlock Rilo Pro.
  • To show ads in the free version.
  • To find and fix crashes and technical problems.

Sharing and sale of data

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above to provide purchases, ads and crash reporting, and where required by law.

Your choices and deletion

  • Use Data & Storage to export or reset your fasting log. Resetting does not delete store-managed purchase records.
  • Uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device. Copies in device backups or exported files remain until you delete them.
  • Turn off crash reporting with Share Usage Data in Settings.
  • Manage ad personalization through Ad privacy choices in Settings or your device's advertising settings.
  • Because we do not hold your fasting data, we have nothing to delete on our side. For questions or requests about data processed by RevenueCat, AdMob or Firebase, or rights under local privacy law, contact us and we will help.

Children's privacy

Rilo is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Fasting is not suitable for children, so please do not use the app for them without medical guidance.

Security

Your data stays on your device, so its protection depends on your phone's own security. We use reputable third-party services for purchases, ads and crash reports. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Rilo changes. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app or on the app store listing.
